Terms and Conditions of use –refer to the policy & rules which regulate the use of this site with the end user.

User – refers to any person, you, who enter, read, and/or uses this site and all that it has to offer.

Website (site) – refers to https://lockyourtour.com and any links available from or within the website, but does not include any external websites or links to external websites.

Material/s – refers to physical material and items contained in this site that can be extracted. i.e. HTML, photographs, maps, software, films, emails, video.

Services – refers to the products and services offered within this website; tangible or intangible.

Private Tours – A tour that is conducted privately without outside participants. This means that it is simply your group, however large or small, and the tour guide.

Small Group Tour – A tour that has members from multiple parties and a tour guide. Group sizes vary as advertised on our website, but basically, your group may be accompanied by others.

Tickets/admissions – refers to the fee charged in order to enter museums, archeological sites and/or desired historical sites of importance.

Booking confirmation – is a confirmation sent via email or fax that confirms services have been confirmed and reserved.

Reasonable Action – any action that remains within the laws of the country in which the action is taken and does not end in a financial loss for Lock Your Tour or any of its associates.

Clients – users that have accepted terms & agreements of Lock Your Tour and have paid or eventually will pay for services. This agreement will either be made after the booking process on our site by purchasing our travel products or with a member of our travel planning team via email.

When you make a booking with Lock Your Tour you undertake that you have the authority to accept and do accept these booking conditions on behalf of yourself and your party. These conditions in conjunction with the information set out on our website form the entire agreement between yourself and Lock Your Tour. Lock Your Tour reserves the right to change these terms & conditions without notice. Lock Your Tour offers you the opportunity to purchase tourism-related products and services without registration. Each product and service includes the following features, which you automatically agree to upon purchase:

  1. booking the tour/trip, part of it or a specific experience
  2. assistance from staff, to the best of their abilities, for the duration of the service
  3. opportunity to notify you about new or alternative products and services similar to what you are buying.

Products offered by Lock Your Tour are valid as per the dates and times displayed at https://lockyourtour.com.

Lock Your Tour is not responsible or liable for any information that it does not directly provide.

All requests for booking modifications/amendments must be directed via email

Lock Your Tour does not charge a fee to amend or change the dates or times of an existing booking, as long as the request is received by our Customer Care team more than twenty four (24) hours ahead of your confirmed tour date.

If you request a date/time change Lock Your Tour will attempt to honor your request; However Lock Your Tour cannot guarantee date/time change requests as all requests and amendments are subject to availability.

For change requests made within the 24h mark, Lock Your Tour will make reasonable attempts to accommodate, but will charge fees associated with but not limited to the ticket cost and personnel cost to acquire/change tickets.

Prices are fixed at the time of booking and generally will not be subject to surcharges. The only exception to this will be an increase in our costs arising as a result of any government action or ticket price increase without warning. Museum tickets/admissions are also subject to change without notice due to the addition and removal of Exhibitions by the museums. We only state this to reserve the right but have never had to enforce it.

Prices may change with the use of promo codes.

Our tours and experiences are able to be viewed in multiple currencies, but payment takes place in EUR.

Foriegn Exchange Rates (FX rates) are built into our prices using a secure system. Rates found online are the basis for our rates, but may not be the same as our rates. Our rates are updated once per day and may be slightly higher or lower than those found online.

The FX rate at which we sell our tours are non-negotiable.

Promo codes and special “offers” are subject to the terms of each offer. This means that the details of the offer described in each place of advertisement. They are also subject to the below terms.

  • a) You cannot use two promo codes at once in any situation.
  • b) Promo codes are valid only for their advertised discount. If an additional amount is discounted due to technical issues with our website or human error, Lock Your Tour has the right to request additional payment to cover the difference. If the client refuses to cover the difference, Lock Your Tour will amicably cancel the tour.
  • c) Promo codes are usable only for the persons that they are offered to if received via email unless explicitly written otherwise. Promo codes are not a “right” nor an “entitlement”. They are usable only as described and are not applicable to past purchases.
  • All credit card processing fees are built into our prices. You will not be charged additionally for cc processing at checkout.

    Full payment by credit card is required to make a reservation. Payment will be listed as Lock Your Tour on the credit card statement.

    Cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee, which may vary by tour, situation, or case. Fees are not limited to, but could include the ticket cost for tours that require the purchase of a ticket in advance.

    No credit voucher will be given for cancelations made within 24 hours of a tour.

    No credit voucher for a tour is available once the tour has commenced.

    Refunds are disbursed at the discretion of management.

    6.1 Cancellation Due To Planes, Trains Or Automobile

    As stated above, we do not refund clients within 24 hours of a tour, and this includes customers who are late due to flight or train cancellations, delays or issues caused by traffic or congestion, etc. We do not offer credit to any group tour cancelling within 24 hours of the tour start time, or private tour cancelling within 7 days of the tour start time.

    If you are concerned about the possibility of cancellation or nonrefundable costs, we recommend the purchase of travel insurance.

    CANCELLATION DUE TO FORCE MAJEURE

    Cancellation due to Force Majeure or reasons beyond our control will result in a credit given or refund. This will be decided at the discretion of management on a case by case basis.

    Lock Your Tour reserves the right to change the start time, date, meeting point of any tour or service you book through Lock Your Tour or any affiliate companies. Changes like these happen in response to changes in the tourism landscape.

    Communication of said change will take the form of both an email and phone call to the contact information provided upon booking.

    All date and time calculations are to be made in the time-zone of the city in question.The tour is meant to take place in Rome, Central European Time (CET)

    Lock Your Tour has done all adequate research and planning to be sure its clients are able to do all of the tours scheduled on the website, but we cannot be responsible for strikes within Italy.

    If there is a museum or archeological site closure due to strike,we cannot take responsibility as there is no way to know in advance.

    We will try our best to reschedule any affected tours, but successful rescheduling to meet client needs cannot be guaranteed.

    Most museums in Italy reserve the right to close at an instance notice for any reason they deem necessary. Lock Your Tour cannot be responsible for choices made by archeological site, museums or church management.
